Setting is everything

No, not the setting of the book, although that is important, too...

I am sure other readers, when a book is mentioned, think back to where they were or their personal circumstances when first encountering that work. I was able to go hiking and exploring this past weekend thanks to my wonderful wife. Images similar to these pictures will be what come to mind when Robinson Crusoe is mentioned since I started the book while at this spot in Point Reyes. My phone's camera won't fully convey it (I had used up my camera's batteries the day before), but the spot was perfect for starting Defoe's tale of a shipwrecked soul.
