I mentioned in an earlier post that I have a list of most of the characters by Bolesław Prus'
The Doll. I enjoyed the novel quite a bit and hope that others will take the plunge on reading it. Toward that end I'm posting my list of character names. As you can see there are a lot of them, many are only in the story for a page or two, others resurface at various points along the way. Hopefully this "roster" will help the reader keep the names and characters straight.
The list of characters is roughly in their order of their first appearance or mention in the novel. I don't claim completeness and realize there may be some inaccuracies. If I wasn't completely sure in my description I added a question mark. If in your reading of the novel you find an error or think my description could be improved, please send me an email or leave a comment and I'll update the list.

This is now officially on my list, though I doubt I'll be able to get to it very soon. My list is long! But I'm sure I'll be needing this character sheet, so thanks very much. :)
And the book is long. But I think worth it.
I tend to do a character list on novels where there are a lot of foreign names. Five pages qualifies for a lot to me. Unfortunately I've lost a lot of these files recently, so I think I'll do this on a more regular basis.
Anyway, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the book when you get to it!
