So I'm behind in everything I wanted to do so far this year, and I'm probably going to sign up for more. I ran across an online course on Shakespeare being put together which I thought I would explore. It will be the first time it's offered and while it sounds like it may have some impromptu moments as it finds its way, I find that fun. In addition, the price is nominal beyond lining up the books. If anyone would like more information on the course, drop me a line and I'll forward you more information.
Meanwhile, here's a list of the books for the course:
James Shapiro
1599: A Year in the Life of William Shakespeare
Michael Riffaterre
Fictional Truth
Garrett Stewart
Reading Voices: Literature and the Phonotext
David Quint
Epic and Empire
Julius Caesar
Antony & Cleopatra
Othello
Hamlet

It sounds like a fascinating course. I've got too much on my plate right now, though, to join (and am trying to learn to say "no"). Will be interested to hear how it goes.
